I NEED YOUR HELP!!
I would like to pick your minds....
Do you have a schedule of household chores??
What Chores do you have your 6 & 7 year old doing?? Do you pay them??
I am aware of FlyLady...I do not read the millions of emails I get from her a day. Yeah I know...Stupid...But she overwhelms me with all of her rules and challenges. I want to make up my own simplified version, but I do not know where to start.
I know there are daily chores like dishes...But how do you manage the rest of your chores?
Please leave me a comment or send me an email with your household cleaning agenda.
I have been out of sync with my household chores for so long, that now I am buried under piles and piles of clutter, toys, and laundry!! I am overwhelmed!!
Once I have a workable schedule created, I will post it for all of you who are in my boat. I know I am not the only one who can not remember the last time she dusted!!
Thank you so much,
MoodyMommy

7 Moody Thoughts:
Hmmm...I created a schedule when my husband deployed and have been using modified versions since then.
Monday - Start laundry (adults); Clean & vacuum family room; Have Nani clean her toy corner
Tuesday - Laundry (hubby's uniforms, sheets & towels); Clean kitchen & living room
Wednesday - Laundry (Nani's); Clean bathrooms
Thursday - Laundry (Nudgie's); Clean girl's rooms
Friday - Clean master bedroom
I usually run the vacuum every day (I have two German Shepherds who shed constantly) and swipe down counters with Clorox Wipes.
Hope that helps!

I'm feeling the same way. I am really looking forward to seeing what other people have come up with.
Same here. I'm hoping to get some pointers from other's responses.
I think I am in your boat too!~~
I don't have a schedule at all. For the past several months I have really gave up on the fighting to get stuff done. I used to have a lady come in once a month and do the major stuff. (dust, clean the floors & stuff like that) But bless her heart she up and died on me. I know that sounds bad but dag..I used to be so strict about having a clean house but as the years go by it just doesn't get done. I am interested on seeing what people tell you also. Ya know, it really is nice to know you are not the only one! Thanks for posting.

I'd be interested in hearing something that works to get the house cleaned between the hours of 8PM and midnight when I am able. But the problem is I have no energy by then after working full time and coming home to be Mom to my two kids 3 and under with no husband around to help in the evenings. Until then I'll have to learn to love my filth :)
during the week the kids --
- empty dishwasher
- wash dishes
- keep desks neat
- make beds
- pick up rooms
- help make dinner 1 day a week
on the weekends:
- dust rooms
- vacuum rooms
- empty trash cans in thier rooms
- put laundry away
- dust and clean the play room
- clean their bathrooms (with vinager and baking soda)
we pay them when we get paid (every 2 weeks) --- the 9 year old gets $9 and the 5 year old gets $5-- and as they get older the allowence goes up ---- no $$$ if chores are not done (or if they give us attitude about the chores)
hope this helps you --- oohh!! it does help to have a list written out (with pictures for younger kids)
hugs and kisses!!
