Mood Magnets (CLOSED)

Recently I was sent the coolest tool...Nope not a hammer!!

The Mood Swinger magnets are a wonderful tool to express how you are feeling at any point in the day. The magnets help to label the exact emotion I am feeling at that time.

The Mood Swinger KIDS version, not only helps me but also helps the kids... Whenever the kids are grumpy and not cooperative, we walk over to the fridge and the kids are able to point out exactly how they are feeling. It broadens their vocabulary with words like Concerned, Unappreciated, and Rejected.

The Mood Swinger KIDS version, comes in a BOYS and a GIRLS set. The magnets are very easy for any one to use, each mood is described using a cartoon drawing.

Mood Swinger Magnets are perfect for any one, however, in my opinion I feel the magnets would be perfect for a family with speech impaired children or other disabilities, a classroom, or for a family with sets of multiples.

I am happy to announce that I will be giving away a set of Mood Swinger magnets to one lucky reader.

Mandatory Entry to win any one set of Mood Swinger Magnets

Visit Mood Swinger Magnets

HERE ARE THE EXTRA ENTRIES!!!

Dysfunctional

Soooo, Sorry for the lack of posts!!

I have been dealing with a few family issues that are totally wiping me out. My mother and I have a VERY dysfunctional relationship...and that is putting it nice!! Well, some stuff went down and I am trying to deal with it...

My mother can make a perfectly sane person crazy...so you can imagine how she makes a crazy person feel!!!

I have written about 20 drafts trying to explain our relationship...I either get really pissed off or I start to cry...needless to say...I have yet to complete a coherent post about my mother and I...I promise I will keep trying.

Please hang tight and I promise I will be back to full speed very soon!! I am really VERY behind on LOTS of giveaways!!! I think I will have either a review and/or a giveaway for the next month!!!

You Know You’re a Parent When…

Your email signature reads “Do What I Say. Not What I Do.”

You decide to trade in your convertible for a minivan and cry the whole way to the dealership.

You’ve fixed someone’s hair with spit.

You’ve paid a costumed character to show up at your house.

No one calls you by your first name anymore. Now you’re simply known as someone’s Mom.

There’s an entire box of cereal buried in the cracks between your car seats. And you’ve considered eating it while waiting in the carpool line.

Instead of goodnight kisses, you now get goodnight text messages.

At least once a week you ask yourself “Whose kids are these?”

You’ve threatened competitors at the school science fair.

You find yourself wearing your pajamas for a coffee run or to drop off the kids. It’s not like you have time to get out of the car anyway.

You’ve been to soccer practice, ballet and story time all before 11am.

Most of your advice starts with “When I was your age.”

You have to explain how math will be useful some day.

Sleeping late means 8:15 am.

You read more than one parenting blog a day.

You realize your parents only come visit to see the grandkids.

You wipe anyone’s mouth other than yours.

You’ve hosted a graduation party for an 11-year-old.

You talk about bodily functions more than most doctors.

You occasionally forget to bathe.

You want to tell your kids about the birds and the bees, but you can’t remember the last time you did it.

Around here the Blue Collar Comedy Show was like watching Nascar!! Okay....No we aren't that RedNeck....But, my husband does enjoy a few laps around the track and good CLEAN humor!!!

I enjoy the Blue Collar Comedy for the CLEAN humor as well....The reason I LOVE it most....It makes my husband CRACK-UP out loud!! He forgets about the stresses of the day and just laughs!!

All of the Blue Collar Boys have gone off into their own comedy shows...or Game Shows....

So, please check out the 'Here's Your Sign' Guy...Bill Engvall.....He has a show on TBS every Saturday @ 9/8 central....You will love it!!!!

SKIN FREE

Last month, I was sent two products from Skin Free; Their Green Clay Mask for Blemish Prone Skin and their Nutritional and Anti-Oxidant Synergy for Face. I wanted to have LOTS of time to test them out before I let you all know exactly how I felt about the products I tested.

Green Clay Mask for Blemish Prone Skin
I love this stuff!!!! It is super thick...kinda like mud!!!! I have used this product twice a week for about a month now. When I first received the mask, I had a VERY big deep pimple. I get them about 3 times a year...the ones that are so deep into your skin that you have a HUGE hard sore spot for a week and then the head forms. Yeah, LUCKY me!!

I applied the mask to the pimple every night for a week...the pimple was gone!!! No yucky scab and no yucky pimple mess!!!

For $15.99, that was the BEST mask I have ever used!!!

Green Clay Mask for Blemish Prone Skin - 6 oz - $15.99

French Green Clay enriched with soothing Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil and hypoallergenic Macadamia Nut oil helps to draw out impurities from blemish prone skin without over-drying. French Green Clay, also called Montmorillonite, is rich with volcanic minerals and extremely absorbant. We made it into a soft paste that is easily applied to face, neck, and shoulders. Healing Organic Niaouli essential oil helps prevent bacterial growth.

Apply to troubled areas and relax while it dries for 15 to 20 minutes for an occasional spa-like mask treatment. You can also apply a small amount to individual blemishes at bedtime and leave on to dry overnight to relieve redness, soreness, and inflammation.

Just rinse off with warm water and a wash cloth to see improvement.

Ingredients: Our Green Clay Mask for Blemish Prone Skin contains - Montmorillonite (French green clay), Olea Europea, (Olive) Seed Oil, Macadamia terrifolia Seed Oil, Melaleuca quinquenervia viridiflora (Niaouli) oil, Vanilla fragrance.

Nutritional and Anti-Oxidant Synergy for Face
Synergy for Face is a moisturizer. Apply a small amount to a dry clean face...The moisturizer is very smooth and almost gel like...not creamy like a typical face cream. It is also a little shocking when you first open the jar...the cream is a bright orange-ish color!!
Yeah!! I was surprised. I am very impressed at how soft and smooth my skin has felt since first trying . I did not feel as though I was wearing a mask and it wore well under my makeup.

The website says that Synergy for Face helps reduce dark under eye circles.

Nutritional and Anti-Oxidant Synergy for Face - 50 ml - $45.00

Brighten tired skin with our light moisture cream filled with the natural nutritional and anti-oxidant resources it craves. We combined powerful essences from Nature to increase circulation, soothe sun damage and aging, and help reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

The first thing I noticed after using this new cream is that the circles under my eyes seemed to be lighter! The feel is more like a light nectar that is immediately absorbed that a heavy cream.

We took some really powerful organic essences derived from Oat seeds, Sea Buckthorn, and Red Raspberry Seeds--all known for their soothing, healing, and anti-aging abilities--and combined them into a light, delicate cream of organic macadamia nut oil and organic virgin olive.

The result is a knock-out blend that makes your skin glow and feel fabulous. Formulated for more mature skin, I can see the younger girls tempted to try it as well.

Did you know that there are only two reported incidences of allergy to Macadamia Nut oil in the world? This unique nut oil is very similar to the natural sebum of the skin. Extra Virgin Olive Oil contains a naturally occurring anti-inflammatory moeity. These special characteristics make these two of our very favorite oils.

Ingredients: Our Nutritional and Anti-Oxidant Synergy for Face contains - Aqua (water), Olea Europea (Olive) Seed oil, Macadamia terrifolia Seed oil, Emulsifying Wax, Stearic Acid, Aveena sativa (Oat) seed oil, Hippophae Rhamnoides (Sea Buckthorn) Extract, Rubus idaeus (Raspberry) oil, and Sodium Hydroxmethylglycinate.

I can not honestly say that it helped with my dark eye circles. I tried using on my eyes several times, however for me...the cream BURNED my eyes. Everyone's skin and eyes are different, so please take this with a grain of salt. I loved the way the product felt on every other area of my face...just not my eyes.

Blog Hop Tuesday-Fave Recipe

This Weeks MckLinky is all about your FAVORITE Recipe or Dish....YUMMMMMM!!!!
If you send your Recipe to Brent over at MckLinky and sign up for this HOP you will recieve a COOKBOOK of all of these YUMMY recipes!! BRENT really is the BEST!!!

Perfect Guacamole

Guacamole, a dip made from avocados, is originally from Mexico. The name is derived from two Aztec Nahuatl words - ahuacatl (avocado) and molli (sauce). The trick to perfect guacamole is using good, ripe avocados. Check for ripeness by gently pressing the outside of the avocado. If there is no give, the avocado is not ripe yet and will not taste good. If there is a little give, the avocado is ripe. If there is a lot of give, the avocado may be past ripe and not good. In this case, taste test first before using.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 red onion, minced (about 1/2 cup)
  • 1-2 serrano chiles, stems and seeds removed, minced
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh lime or lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
  • A dash of freshly grated black pepper
  • 1/2 ripe tomato, seeds and pulp removed, chopped

Garnish with red radishes or jicama. Serve with tortilla chips.

Method

1 Cut avocados in half. Remove seed. Scoop out avacado from the peel, put in a mixing bowl. (See How to Cut and Peel an Avocado.)

2 Using a fork, mash the avocado. Add the chopped onion, cilantro, lime or lemon, salt and pepper and mash some more. Chili peppers vary individually in their hotness. So, start with a half of one chili pepper and add to the guacamole to your desired degree of hotness. Be careful handling the peppers; wash your hands thoroughly after handling and do not touch your eyes or the area near your eyes with your hands for several hours.

Keep the tomatoes separate until ready to serve.

Remember that much of this is done to taste because of the variability in the fresh ingredients. Start with this recipe and adjust to your taste.

3 Cover with plastic wrap directly on the surface of the guacamole to prevent oxidation from the air reaching it. Refrigerate until ready.

4 Just before serving, add the chopped tomato to the guacamole and mix.

Serves 2-4.

Dieci Colori...Face in a Case!!

DIECI COLORI
Face in a Case...

For the Girl on the Go!!!

Dieci Colori's Face in a Case is one of the HANDIEST products I have seen in a long time!!

The Case contains a shimmering multi – colored mineral powder, three mineral eye shadows, large shadow eyeliner, and mineral blush. Along with the Face in a Case you also get a Shadow Applicator/Blender Brush and a coordinating Lip Stick.

The Case comes in either Plum or Peach, and they sell for $64.00. The quality is superb!!
The micronized minerals protect and gently correct skin tones. Their powerful, light reflective properties hide imperfections and reveal the skin’s natural radiance.
The feature that I liked most....All of the colors are VERY neutral...Nothing was specific for ONE area of your face. I used the Large BROWN color as an eyeliner, a contour shade, and an eyebrow filler. The large PINKISH shade can be a Blush, a Lid Shade, or even a lip color.
The Multi-Shade Shimmer powder worked great as an all over powder, a highlighter below my brow and even a base lid shade. The colors are very subtile, but can also build on eachother for a more dramatic look...

Would you like to try Dieci Colori for yourself??

I am happy to offer you a 10% Discount Code...
MOODYMOM

This dicount is good for your first purchase of any Dieci Colori purchase...
Please take advantage of the code when you order this excellent make-up!!!
